Anthera Pharmaceuticals

Anthera Pharmaceuticals was a Hayward, California-based biopharmaceutical company founded in 2004 that developed investigational treatments for cystic fibrosis, inflammation and autoimmune diseases. Its clinical candidates included Sollpura (liprotamase), a non-porcine pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy, and blisibimod (A-623), a BAFF-targeting compound evaluated for IgA nephropathy and lupus. In 2018, the company suspended all clinical development and began winding down its operations.
