Ponda is a Bristol materials company that makes BioPuff, a biodegradable insulation grown from bulrush harvested on rewetted peatland and sold as a wadding for apparel as an alternative to down and to petrochemical synthetic fills. Founded in 2020, it works from Avonbank Industrial Estate in Bristol and has raised about $4.3 million across two seed rounds, most recently $1.86 million in August 2026, from backers including the Royal College of Art, Faber Ventures and PDS Ventures.
