Prolacta Bioscience is a privately held life sciences company, established in 1999, that makes 100% human milk-based nutritional products for hospitals, chiefly fortifiers and feeds for extremely premature infants in neonatal intensive care. Its products include the Prolact+ H2MF human milk-based fortifier, Prolact CR caloric fortifier, Prolact RTF and Surgifort for infants recovering from gastroschisis surgery. It operates in California from City of Industry and Duarte and employs over 300 people.
